UCONN camp

Letter from Coach Steeb regarding UCONN camp

Dear Parents,

This summer I will be inviting all returning soccer players to the University of Connecticut for our soccer camp.  We will attend Session 2 July 15-19.  All players will be challenged by a rigorous training schedule led by Four-Time National Champion Collegiate Coach Ray Reid and some of the country’s top collegiate coaches.

In addition to cutting-edge training activities for field players and goalkeepers (players train twice a day with matches in the evening), the Elite Academy includes a number of special offerings including: Strength & Conditioning and Sport/Team Psychology Sessions; a College Prep Session for high school players; and a specialized Goalkeeper Training Program.

Players will be able to room with one of their teammates.  They are permitted to pick their roommate.  At a later date, I will e-mail a list of players who have committed to attending camp.

You may register now at:  www.rayreid.com

We will be attending Session 2, July 15-19.  The cost for camp is $650.  Our discounted cost is $600 per player.  You must enter a code in order to get the discount and be placed with our group.  The code is COUGARS18.  You may make a deposit of $200 or pay in full.  Once entering the promo code into the appropriate field (near the bottom), click “apply” and the correct pricing will appear. You can then go ahead and complete your registration and either pay with a credit card online or send in a check.  *Please make sure you complete and submit all medical forms by June 1st.

*Transportation—We will take a bus to UCONN.  As soon as I get the information for the bus, you will be notified.

*Please RSVP by Monday, April 30th so I can plan accordingly.  It is important that everyone attends camp.  This is a great opportunity for us to prepare for this upcoming season.  Depending on our numbers, I will divide the boys into two groups.  If you have a conflict, you need to inform me ASAP.

*Please be advised that if an incident does occur at camp and warrants review by the athletic department and the high school administration, disciplinary action may be taken by the school district.

*Please note:  Attendance at this camp does not guarantee a spot in the soccer program or a spot on the varsity team.
